This week in track and track meet sign-up

For those of you who missed the parent meeting last week, go to the website for all the information on the track program: longmeadowtrack. org.

Volunteer Duty

The Parent Duty Schedule is up with each parent assigned to a Saturday meet. For those who visited the site last week, we had last year's duty schedule up. The new schedule is on the site now.

Nicole Preston Cullen will be reaching out each week to the assigned volunteers for that Saturday's meet. Please respond when Nicole emails you. Also, everyone should check the schedule now, and if your assigned meet is not convenient, it is the parent's responsibility to switch with another parent.

Amelia DeSilva is our ribbon coordinator, and we are looking for a handful of parents who would like to fill out the backs of ribbons at home. We will be doing fewer ribbons than last year. Ribbon volunteers can forego their assigned meet duty. Contact Cari Narotsky at cari@longmeadowtrack.org if you would like to be a ribbon volunteer.

Tuesday and Thursday

Although this is all on the track calendar on the website, track starts this week with packet pick-up and meeting your coaches on Tuesday, April 2 at the Community House between 5 and 6 pm. Thursday's practice is at the LHS track, 5-6 pm.

Saturday's meet

Sign-up on the website for Saturday's meet is OPEN. It closes Wednesday at 7 pm. It only takes about 30 seconds, but it is necessary for us to be able to plan out the meet and make it run efficiently. Contact Jeff Boyd at jeff@longmeadowtrack.org if you have any issues with the sign-up form. If you are signing up more than one child, you may need to refresh the site in your browser after you submit the entry for the first child.
