USATF Results, Ribbons for Last Meet, and XC in the fall
Track parents- We had some great performances from our kids at the Fitchburg USATF meet on Saturday, with a number of top-3 finishes and a greater number of athletes qualifying for the regional (New England + NY) meet next month in New York City. Meet Results and Cross Country Information
Track Parents: The results from Saturday's Family Fun Day Meet are posted on the website, longmeadowtrack.org. It was a big event with 5 running events and 3 field events. We had 171 program athletes, parents, and siblings take part. There were 497 individual performances. This was the biggest Family Fun Day in the program's history. USATF Meet and this week
Track Parents- This week we will have practice on Tuesday and Thursday at LHS 5-6 pm (no Monday extra session) for only the kids doing the USATF meet on Saturday in Fitchburg. If you have not registered for the USATF meet and intend to do so, time is short. Track Parents- The weather looks good for tomorrow and we should have the most parents and siblings competing ever. With the King and Queen of the Track races in the 100, 400, and 1600, and kids gunning for their best performances of the season, it should be a lot of fun. Last Call for Saturday's Meet Sign-ups
Track parents- The deadline for signing up for Saturday's June 9 meet is 8 pm TODAY (Wednesday). Parents and siblings can also sign up. There are separate forms on the website, longmeadowtrack.org, for program athletes and for parents and siblings. This is our last regular meet of the season. Call for USATF runners and Call for Photos
Track parents- Please email me if your child is planning to run the June 16 USATF meet in Fitchburg and tell me what events he/she is planning to do. This will help us plan out practices next week for our USATF runners. Second, if any parents have pictures they have taken from our meets and want to share them on the website, please email them to me. We would love to get pictures to show our program in action. Alex
June 9 Meet, Practices, and Extra Monday Session
Track parents- We had a ton of great, and in a few cases, astounding, performances at the Middle School Amherst Meet, the Middle School State Meet, and at our meet against Ludlow. I will give a special shout-out to Nate Morrin who ran the 1600m on Saturday for the first time this year, and he joined our four member sub-6 miler club.
