Track parents- Welcome back after April break. 1. We will begin our Monday extra sessions for Groups 3 and 4 distance runners tomorrow, April 23 at 5pm at the Wolf Swamp fields. 2. Tuesday's practice will be at the LHS track 5-6 pm. Thursday's practice will be at the Wolf Swamp fields 5-6 pm. Remember you can always check the website for our calendar, http://www.longmeadowtrack.org. 3. SIGN-UP is open for the April 28 meet at LHS. DEADLINE is Wednesday, April 25 at 5 pm.
Track parents- Our next regular practice will be April 24, after the school break, but I will be holding practices next Tuesday (4/17) and Thursday (4/19) 5-6pm for Groups 3 and 4 distance runners only. Because of a high school track meet, Tuesday's practice will be at the Wolf Swamp fields. Thursday's will be back at the Longmeadow track. We were able to finish the last event at 11:02, which was a testament to the efficiency and dedication of our parent volunteers and coaches. Track Parents & Coaches- 1. Tomorrow. Because the boys high school team had their meet moved to Thursday, we are bumped from the track, and we will be practicing at the Wolf Swamp fields tomorrow at 5 pm. Keep in mind the bathrooms are closed because of the recent cold weather. Speaking of which, it will be cold and blustery tomorrow--dress accordingly. Practice is cancelled due to the rain. Please go to the Community House (735 Longmeadow Street) to pick up uniforms. Groups 1 & 2 (birth years 2008-11) arrive at 5:00, Groups 3 & 4 (birth years 2003-2007) arrive at 5:30. At 6:00, there is a training open to coaches and parents at Greenwood, part of an "Autism Learning Series," with this session focused on inclusive recreation. Flyer is attached.
