4/11: April 12 Order of Events and Meet Details

Track parents-

We have a great meet on tap for tomorrow with Amherst Middle School and middle school relay races on the docket! Unfortunately, the weather is iffy, and you will get an email confirming whether the meet is on or off. We may need to wait until 6:00 am tomorrow morning to make a final decision.

Uniforms and Schedule

The meet will be run in 3 shifts. Keep in mind these times are approximate. Grades 1-3 will be first, with the gun going off at 8:30 for the first event, Grades 4-5 are next, Grades 6-8 are last. Our middle schoolers are running against Amherst and should wear their white/black singlets.  Elementary should wear their color T shirts.  Because we're running against Amherst, the middle school shift will take longer.  The order of events is below.  Remember, middle schoolers doing high jump must arrive early for high jump (9:00).

April 12 Order of Events (all field events occur at same time as running events)

8:30 am:  100m Grades 1-3 (girls then boys)

400m Grades 1-3

8:50 am:  Grades 4-5 arrive

100m Grades 4-5 (girls then boys)

400m Grades 4-5 (girls and boys)

9:00 am:  Grades 6-8 high jump (girls and boys together)

9:20 am:  Grades 6-8 arrive

100m hurdles Grades 6-8 (girls then boys)

4x100m relay (boys and girls)

1600m (combined Grades 6-8 boys and girls)

400m Grades 6-8 (girls then boys)

100m Grades 6-8 (girls then boys)

200m Grades 6-8 (girls then boys)

4x400m relay (boys and girls)

Middle School Relays

We will be running the 4x100 and 4x400 against Amherst. We have selected our teams (and alternates) based on results from our first meet. Those selected and anyone who is interested in running on a middle school relay team, should report to the tent at 9:15.
