5/4: Meet results, Meet registration, practice this week, MS state meet

Track parents-

1. Meet Results. I was really impressed with some of the really fast times, and improvement across the board, at our Elementary meet and at the Bement Invitational. Madeleine Howard won the 1500m at Bement, running a tactical race by stalking the leader throughout and then nipping her at the line by .2 seconds. Ella Bailey won the 400m by running 1:04.4, a new program record! Results are posted on longmeadowtrack.org.

2. May 10 Meet at LHS. We will be running against Wilbraham at LHS on May 10 (meet will start at 8 am). Registration is open on athletic.net until Thursday at 7 pm.

3. Practice this week. Due to a lacrosse game on Tuesday and a high school track meet on Thursday, we are at Blueberry Hill school both days. All other days this week, practice is at the LHS track, as indicated on the calendar on the longmeadowtrack.org website.

4. Middle School State Meet. The middle school state meet is on June 6 or 7 (depending on your child’s school division), and there is a MS State Meet page on longmeadowtrack.org within information about the meet, including the qualifying times and distances.
